Resources and Information About Indigenous People of Mexico Pre-Conquest
Since there is a lot of information that many people do not know about the indigenous people of Mexico and many demonize and make them seem lesser and subhuman, particularly the Aztec people and only hyper focus on human sacrifice; I wanted to make a post that compiles a list where people can learn many things that I find is typically not known such as the knowledge indigenous people, most notably the Aztecs, held.
This is especially important as people keep on spouting the belief that indigenous people were ‘backwards’ who were living in the ‘stone age’ and had little to no knowledge before European invaders arrived. This could not be further from the truth.
It should also be noted that this post will be updated in future dates. And each link to the different information regarding each topic will have its sources listed at the bottom of each separate post:

Remind me again how antis are supposed to be good and morally superior people. This is not just “ship discourse.” Antis literally target, bully, harass, stalk, doxx, and suibait proshippers over fictional content. Idc, how disgusting or distasteful you find some fictional content. This type of abusive behavior is never okay.
It’s always antis I see with so much hate and violence. When proshippers talk about antis it’s never with this much competent, anger or hate. There may be some bad apples as with all communities, but proshippers in general want to be left alone to enjoy their fandom and online experiences.
This is why people who view themselves “above” and more “mature” over the proship and anti “discourse” should actually learn about these communities and topics.
Antis are very abusive. There is multiple evidence of countless behavior such as the ones shown above. And they appear everyday in the proship tags (mostly due to tumblr’s tagging system) but regardless, again, such pro violence and suibaiting is not okay.
It’s not hard to just put a simple dni if it bothers you that much or just block and filter things and people. You will have to continuously do this and it’s tiring I know. It happens to me all the time where things I may not want to see pop up. Just keep curating your internet experience. Do this without telling literal people and sometimes minors at that to literally kill themselves.If you spread so much verbal hate and pro violent rhetoric you’re not the good person you think you are.
All these tags came from one anti post and all from different users. This really is just the normal abusive behavior from antis. Rarely, do they advocate to not harass other people or actually post anything helpful to actually protect people online such as this post I made:
I just saw a digusting comment on YouTube (no surprise) about how dogs are just dogs and we should care more about children in need than spending money on animals. And how humans only pretend to love dogs because we’re selfish and their just “toys” to us selfish humans.
And I just can’t. First off, I get caring about children in need, but this doesn’t mean we should just abandon animals and not care for them either. Anyway, here’s the full context and my reply for those curious:
This person really did rub me the wrong way.
And this is not to mention how much animals do for humanity - service animals, animals who work during disasters and stopping criminals, how they help maintain, keep healthy and balance the delicate ecosystem, general companionship and joy they bring to their owners and humanity, how animals will defend and protect humans who love them. And even if they didn’t do all this. So what? Again, they are living beings who deserve life and a space in this world alongside us.
Honestly, I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t like animals. Especially people who view them like this. Animal haters can fck off, tbh.
These are all the Mario games I own on switch so far. And not shown here also Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which is purely digital (the full game came with my Nintendo Switch).
My mom bought me Odyssey and Bowser’s Fury (which arrived yesterday) as an early bday present!! I was planning on playing Odyssey after I complete the dlc’s for SoH, BUT mom wants to watch me play Bowser’s Fury first, so I’m going to play that one next instead. She’s curious to see how Boswer gets controlled and just Mario teaming up with Bowser Jr. She really does like watching me play these games. Lol 😊
Just a quick list of things that make my heart warm about this whole ending sequence that I want to add on (but separately so you don’t have to reblog this with the gifs if you’d rather not):
I love the implication that Luigi is typically more of an early riser than Mario and takes care of little things like making both of them coffee. It’s cute to think of him taking after his mom in that way, making sure Mario stops and gets these little things because you know that man would just rush out the door and not think twice otherwise. (Also: their little happy clink of the cups ;_; And the different details even in how they both approach drinking the coffee!! Luigi blowing on his and holding his hand below it to be careful while Mario just starts downing it, doesn’t even check the temperature. He is a man with no fear LOL.)
These guys could have probably had any kind of house they wanted, whatever number of rooms they wanted, and they’re just like “we’re good with a recreation of the bedroom we’ve always shared :) we just like to be close to each other and don’t need much more than that to be content :)” DO YOU EVER JUST CRY
The fact that that the outside of their little mushroom house is color-coordinated too, with a green door and a red mailbox/roof. <3
I’ve said this before, but them doing their handshake only for Luigi to ruthlessly use it as an opening to poke Mario’s belly is PEAK Younger Sibling Energy, oh my goodness. I speak from experience, this literally just happened to me the last time I saw my younger siblings - I can’t get out of there without being surprise-poked a million times, LOL. Why are they like this??? It’s a mystery but it’s also very cute, haha.

Why does it make me emotional that Luigi rushes ahead but when he gets to the final platform before the pipe first, he stops, waits, and smiles as Mario lands next to him??? THEY JUST…LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH…
Luigi’s enthusiastic finger guns will never not make me snort. WHAT A DWEEB (but imagine me saying that as I am about to cry from sheer affection overwhelming my heart)
The fact that this movie ends with such a simple, cozy scene between the two brothers because that’s been the heart of the movie all along, how much they need and inspire each other and how it doesn’t matter where they are or what they’re doing, what adventures and troubles lie ahead in the future - the only non-negotiable thing for each of them is that they get to be there together. :)
I didn’t realize before but when Mario grabs at Luigi to pull them out of their room so that they can stop Brooklyn from flooding, Mario actually holds Luigi’s hand in his as he pulls him along.
I always thought he grabbed him by the wrist but he actually took the time to place his hand in Luigi’s, I don’t know why but I find that very wholesome in a way I can’t really describe.
It’s because grabbing him by the wrist can be interpreted as forceful and demanding, whereas grabbing him by the hand indicates a sense of partnership and comradery!
Out of the two brothers, Mario is the impulsive go-getter, but at the same time he respects Luigi’s agency. He doesn’t boss him around, he just forges ahead while knowing that Luigi will be there to help him out every step of the way, simply because that’s how it’s always been.
Despite Luigi’s natural nervousness, they’re partners, and they’ve always been partners. Mario knows how Lu works, understands his limitations, but still holds a high amount of respect for him despite being in something of a leadership role. Many see Luigi as an easy target to steamroll over, while Mario goes out of his way to raise his sibling up and treat him as an equal… because he is. Though people on the outset may not recognize it, Mario needs Luigi as much as Luigi needs Mario, plain and simple.
Man the dark implications if they were going to die by the fire; Luigi would’ve gone first if Mario hadn’t pulled him forward.
Neither knew what was going to happen, so they would rather go out side by side, looking at each other ❤💚
When you’re taking someone by the hand to pull them along, you’re counting on them gripping back. You can’t hold a hand as easily as a wrist; it’s wider and flexes in so many ways as to be slippery. If the other person doesn’t want to grip back, they’ll almost immediately slip away.
If grabbing a wrist is a demanding insistence, then grabbing a hand is an assertive invitation.
